This is a project I made for a typography class that got turned into a movie poster for my college’s annual portfolio show. The movie poster is for The Shining, novel written by Steven King, movie directed by Stanley Kubrick. I chose to make a fire ax out of the title and have the ax sticking out of a door in reference to the climax of the film. I used many diagonal lines and shapes to make the design a bit unnerving and the “Redrum” wallpaper is another reference to an important scene in the film.
