Friends of Corvallis Parks & Recreation is a non-profit organization located in Corvallis Oregon. Founded in 2012, they’ve been involved in several fundraising projects for parks and facilities in Corvallis.

The organization was in need of a new logo that complimented but didn’t directly copy the existing City of Corvallis Parks & Recreation logo since the two organizations worked together on projects frequently. My design studio class was tasked with creating the logo. The class made rough drafts that we presented to the client. The board decided to move forward with refining my logo design. The challenge of this project was creating a logo that accurately represented the wide range of projects Friends of Corvallis is involved in while keeping the design relatively simple and includes subtle references to the City of Corvallis logo.

Over the course of four months I continued to make revisions of the logo according to feedback from the client. When the logo was finalized, it was applied to a business card design and delivered to the client in a variety of formats, sizes, and color variations.
