This project is a bottle design I made for a mock brewing company. I was inspired by the competitive, illustrative packaging design of the beer industry and decided to design a bottle of my own. Outside of my design work, I love doodling strange monsters and a hand drawn design would be perfect to capture a grunge, outlaw sort of personality of the beer industry. The font needed to be bold and a bright color to stand out against the dark brown of the bottle. Since the design is space themed I decided to make the negative spaces in the “P”‘s resemble the Russian satellite, Sputnik 1. The illustration is loosely inspired by the branding of Rouge Brewery in Newport, Oregon.
